Here are some fun ideas I have found for all teachers to use in order to add a little enhancement the classroom and hallways!

Bulletin boards...

These creative wall space fill in create a more home like environment. By putting up the work that the students create in the classroom, it creates a sense of pride for them as they walk down the halls. Now as a future educator I do also believe that just displaying the art and not including an educative reason or lesson behind these boards can be meaningless. While also displaying the wonderful art your students create, it should also display a peek into what the students are learning. Like in the above images, there are some boards with seasonal art and others such as the "Beijing China 2022" board that was created to count he medals team Canada has gained overtime and in which sport. This creation was done for a current events class in Grade 3. I noticed by doing this it made the Grade 3's very intrigued and excited to learn about current events.

Teacher provided resources....

As an educator it is critical that you try your hardest to provide your students with the most resources possible to ensure they are able to reach the set learning expectations and personal presence. As you can see in the above images, The grade 3 teachers have clearly provided each of their students with a white basket so that their classroom can be as organized as possible. They have also provided a small library for their students to choose from when it comes to silent reading time or their reading tests. These categorized book areas provide their students with the knowledge of what type of book the want to read and a great selection of that category. This school does provide a library within the school but each class only goes once a week to check out and check in a book so I believe that when these teachers provided this second area for their students, that was a great resource provided.
Technology Resources.....
When it comes to the use of technology in a classroom I feel it should only be used if it is in a meaningful way. The intent of schools to provide iPad, Chromebook carts, and computer labs isn't just so the students have an escape goat. The technology should be used to provide the students with an intriguing learning opportunity. If we face facts, the world is continuously becoming a technology reliant planet so if we strategize smart education apps, platforms to use then we will still be able to provide the students with their needed education while also peaking their interest.
